Paul Simonelli, MD, Ph.D., FCCP

Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine

Clinical and Research Interests

Dr. Simonelli’s principal interest is the diagnosis and treatment of interstitial lung disease, including pulmonary fibrosis. He is involved in the management of patients with this type of lung disease clinically, and in trials of new potential therapeutic agents for interstitial lung disease. His other areas of interest include the management of advanced lung disease such as emphysema and other forms of COPD, pulmonary hypertension, and pulmonary complications in the immunocompromised host: transplant and AIDS.
