Taxis operate between all airports and Manhattan. Both J.F. Kennedy and LaGuardia are in New York City. LaGuardia is preferable as it is smaller and more compact than Kennedy, which is a sprawling complex of many different buildings.

From the NY airports, be certain to take a yellow city cab, which will have a fare meter. From LaGuardia the fare should be approximately $30 plus tolls. The fare from Kennedy is fixed at $52.00 plus tolls. An additional $1.00 surcharge is added Monday – Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. There is a $0.50 surcharge daily between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

Another option is to fly into Newark Airport. There is a monorail from the airport that will take you to the Amtrak Station, which provides a free one-stop ride to Penn Station in mid-town NYC. Uptown subway trains A, C and 1 run from Penn Station to the Medical Center campus at 168th Street. The A train is an express train and is the quickest route to campus.
