By providing financial support to the Lyme and Tick-Borne Diseases Research Center at Columbia University, you are directly supporting research that will help to identify better diagnostic tests, better treatments, quantitative biomarkers, and improve understanding of what mechanisms underlie persistent symptoms.
Donations are tax deductible and can be made in honor of a person or in memory of a friend or loved one or as a general donation to support research studies.
Donate by mail
Large donations provide the donor with “Naming Opportunities”. For example, an endowed academic professorship or a lab can be named after a particular donor. If you would like further information about opportunities for major gift donations, please contact the Lyme Center at 646-774-8100 (email@example.com) and we will guide you in the most appropriate way to target your gift.
Participate in research
In order for researchers to obtain funds for Lyme studies, it is necessary to have a population of individuals who fulfill specific criteria and who are willing to participate in research studies. Check out our Current Research Studies section. If you think you would like to be involved in any of the studies that are actively recruiting or if you would like to be considered for future studies, please send a brief e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are not within commuting distance of New York City, it probably does not make sense for you to consider participating in one of our studies (unless it is a one-time evaluation study). We will contact you if you are eligible for a particular project.
