The Eating Disorders Assessment and Treatment Service (EDATS) offers comprehensive evaluations and treatment for patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and obesity. EDATS consultations are conducted by Columbia University faculty with extensive eating disorders expertise. Evaluations will include detailed feedback and treatment recommendations. Follow-up consultations may be arranged if needed. Available treatments include individual and group psychotherapy and medication management with Columbia University faculty.
EDATS at Columbia University is an affiliate of the New York State Comprehensive Center of Care for Eating Disorders, Metropolitan Division. The Columbia University Medical Center has a nationally recognized program in eating disorders research. Under the leadership of Dr. Tim Walsh the Eating Disorders Clinic has been dedicated to the research and treatment of eating disorders for over 25 years. We provide state-of-the art treatment for eating disorders and eating symptoms.
Treatment incorporates up-to-date findings in the most effective treatments for eating disorders, including psychotherapy and medication.
Referrals can be made by health care professionals, but contact with patient will be necessary prior to EDATS appointment
