The Eating Disorders Assessment and Treatment Service (EDATS) offers comprehensive evaluations and treatment for patients with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and obesity. EDATS consultations are conducted by Columbia University faculty with extensive eating disorders expertise. Evaluations will include detailed feedback and treatment recommendations. Follow-up consultations may be arranged if needed. Available treatments include individual and group psychotherapy and medication management with Columbia University faculty.

More structured treatment for individuals with eating disorders, including evidence-based psychotherapy groups and supervised meals is available at the Columbia Eating Disorders Program (CEDP), part of the Columbia University Day Program at East 60th Street.
EDATS and CEDP are part of the Columbia Center for Eating Disorders and The New York State Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders, Metropolitan Division. Under the founding leadership of Dr. B. Timothy Walsh and the current leadership of Dr. Evelyn Attia, The Columbia Center for Eating Disorders is an internationally recognized program with nearly thirty years of commitment to the research and treatment of eating disorders.Â
Treatment incorporates up-to-date findings in the most effective treatments for eating disorders, including psychotherapy and medication.

Referrals
EDATS will accept referrals from health care professionals, but contact with patient will be necessary prior to EDATS appointment. In addition, self-referrals will be accepted.
