Ways to Give Back

We welcome your philanthropic support of our mission to educate more physicians and researchers in the field of Pediatric Oncology. Your generosity will fund:
  • Development of junior faculty
  • Basic research into leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors, brain tumors, and other specialized cancers that afflict infants, children and adolescents.
  • Innovative patient support programs such as the Integrative Therapies Program and the Survivor Wellness Program.
  • Endowed funds named in perpetuity to support our education and research mission.
The academic division of Pediatric Oncology is affiliated with Hope & Heroes Children's Cancer Fund, an independent 501(c)(3) non profit that exclusively supports the Herbert Irving Child & Adolescent Oncology Program at Columbia University Medical Center. Founded in 1996 by Michael Weiner, MD Hope & Heroes raises funds primarily through events, hosted or arranged by its Board members and the community at large.

Since its inception, Hope & Heroes has raised approximately $20 million to sustain patient care services, develop new programs, and support research.

Hope & Heroes has developed strong relationships with leading organizations such as: the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, the Tamarind Foundation, Valerie Fund, Hyundai Corporation, Origins, WOLF Foundation, Golfers Against Cancer, The Joseph LeRoy & Ann C. Warner Fund, Taybandz Inc., BlackRock Inc., and Burger King.

Hope & Heroes also receives gifts from families who have personal experience with pediatric cancer, friends, philanthropists, foundations, community organizations and corporations.
