The Sylvia Griffiths Memorial Lecture & Teaching Day is hosted by the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. The day’s program are held in the conference facilities at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian. The Sylvia Griffiths Lectureship and Teaching Day at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian has been endowed by generous contributions honoring Sylvia's dedication to teaching and her outstanding humanistic qualities. Registration for this event will open online in August 2011.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Alumni Day 9-25-11
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Columbia University Medical Center holds an annual family fun-day event to celebrate the graduates of the NICU. The alumni are invited to a day of fun including a magic show, sand art, balloon art, face painting, moon-bounces and a boxed lunch. Admission is open to all alumni of the NICU. The 2010 NICU Alumni Day will be held at The Armory (168th Street & Fort Washington Avenue, NYC) on Sunday, September 25, from 12:00 Noon – 3:00 p.m. Registration will open online August 2011.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Memorial Services 10-16-11
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of Columbia University Medical Center holds an annual memorial service at Bard Hall on the Columbia University Medical Center Campus (50 Haven Avenue, NYC 10032). This event is open to all family and friends and will be held this year on Sunday, October 24th.
Babies Heart Fund Young Professional Society Presents: An Evening at The Chelsea Room 10-20-11
The young professional society of the Babies Heart Fund are men and women who reside in NYC and NJ and have dedicated their time and efforts to raises funds and awareness of pediatric heart disease, while increasing visibility of the nation’s leading center for treatment of children with these diseases. Their commitment to the Babies Heart Fund mission is beyond that of donor or volunteer, but that of engaged partner. The Babies Heart Fund Young Professional Society hosts an annual event in NYC that draws 300 + attendees to raise funds for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Columbia University Medical Center. Steve Miller Medical Education Day 10-28-11
The Steve Miller Medical Education Day at Columbia University is an annual tradition of celebrating medical education and humanism in medicine with lectures, workshops, and mini grants for student projects. The 2011 Steve Miller Medical Education day will be held on Wednesday, October 28th held in the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian’s Tower 103 and Wintergarden. The goal of the day is to foster a community that continues Dr. Miller’s work both in humanism in medicine and medical education. Dr. Miller devoted his energy to integrating humanism into the practice of medicine and creating innovative ways to teach future generations of physicians.

25th Annual Babies Heart Fund Gala 3-6-12
This event raises funds for and supports the Fellowship training program for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Columbia University Medical Center. Since 1986, the Babies Heart Fund has raised more than $7 million dollars towards its mission of enhancing resources for and awareness of pediatric heart disease, while increasing the visibility of the nation’s leading center for the treatment of children with these diseases. Babies Heart Fund fundraising efforts have contributed to providing state-of-the-art patient care, groundbreaking research, and educating the next generations of pediatric cardiologists. The 2012 Babies Heart Fund Gala will be held at Cipriani 42nd Street, NYC on March 6th. Tickets will be available online.

The Max Robbin Memorial Lecture and Teaching Day is hosted by the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. The day’s program are held in the conference facilities at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian and feature a keynote address highlighting the transition from pediatrics to adult care and the advancements in the study of Adult Congenital Heart Disease. The Max Robbin Memorial Lecture and Teaching Day has been endowed by generous donors to honor the memory of Max Robbin.
Babies Hospital Alumni Association Alumni Day April 2012
2012 will mark the 74th Babies Hospital Alumni Association Alumni Day, held in the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian’s Tower 103 and Wintergarden. The Babies Hospital Alumni Association helps in the advancement of the interests of Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital (formerly Babies Hospital), the advancement of pediatric arts and science and serves as an alumni organization for the residency program in the department of pediatrics. The annual alumni day invites past and present residents to participate in a number of activities including the presentation of the Distinguished Alumni Award, the annual business meeting and the Hattie Alexander Memorial Lecture on Infectious Disease.
