This year we are delighted to be honoring Mr. Harold Burson, Founding Chairman and Co-Founder of Burson-Marsteller, which is known as one of the largest public relations agencies in the world today. We look forward to honoring him not only for his contributions to The Foundation for Gender-Specific Medicine, but also for his extensive philanthropy in the nonprofit sector. . Sharon Enloe Baum--2010 Gala Honoree
Sharon Enloe Baum was our honoree for our annual benefit in recognition of her extensive philanthropic activity, particularly in her generosity to children through her support of the Madison Boys and Girls Club. A graduate of Randolph Macon College, Ms. Baum was in the first class at the Harvard Business School to accept women and earned an MBA from that institution in 1965. She was the first woman to hold the position of vice president at the Chemical Bank. Prior to that, she served as the director of the women’s market at PanAmerican airlines.
She is currently one of the most successful real estate brokers in Manhattan. She is enormously generous to many organizations and individuals; many of her very significant contributions to the public good are made anonymously.
