Dr. Spadola plays an active role on Labor & Delivery and supervises the hospital’s outpatient clinic for pregnant women with pre-existing and gestational diabetes. She also provides services for high risk obstetrical patients at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY. Her additional areas of clinical interest include prenatal diagnosis, fibroids in pregnancy, and maternal mental health. She has received several teaching awards during her training. Her current research work is in collaboration with the Institute for Cancer Genetics investigating placental methylation using methods of whole-genome analysis.
