| A Message from Our Residency Program Coordinator Welcome!
Here at Columbia University's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology we do our best to make
your interview day an enjoyable learning experience. You will find both our Faculty and Residents
willing to answer any questions regarding the program and life here on campus. As your coordinator I will do my best to assist you with the non-clinical aspects of your residency. Many of these aspects are related to compliance, a word that you will become very familiar with during your four years.
My major role as your coordinator is to ensure that you remain compliant, not only with the institutional aspects, but also with those set forth by residency programs governing bodies.
I am sure most of you are familiar with the phrase "if it's not written, it's not done." This also holds true during your residency. Documentation plays an integral part of your training, not only as it pertains to your clinical experience, but also for the numerous compliance aspects. I will be with you every step of the way with gentle reminders and hand holding. I believe that I am a part of an amazing program and hope that you too will feel the same. Together we will conquer all compliance issues and continue to make our program the best.
I look forward to meeting you during interview season. Please feel free to e-mail me should you have any questions.
