Columbia University holds one commencement per year in May for all graduates. The university wide ceremony is held on the downtown campus in the quad. Degree candidates are invited and encouraged to participate in the University Commencement on May 22, 2013. Academic regalia (cap and gown) is required for all degree candidates. Graduating students are eligible to receive a certain number of tickets for their family, friends, and other guests for the University Commencement ceremony. Please see "Guest Tickets" for more information. Degree candidates need no ticket if he or she is wearing academic regalia.

Tuesday, May 21, 2013 10:30 a.m. The New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory Arena 216 Fort Washington Avenue at West 168th St. The School of Nursing also holds a ceremony for nursing graduates each May. The SON Graduation Ceremony includes the White Coat Ceremony, and is followed by a reception. There is no limit on the amount of guests students may bring. Students will be asked to accurately RSVP for their guests later in the Spring term. |

| Reception There will be a reception immediately following the Graduation Ceremony at The New Balance Track & FieldCenter. SON grads, their guests, and faculty are invited to attend the celebration! Pins For February and May MS and Doctoral graduates, SON pins will be available at the reception after the ceremony. Photographer A professional photographer will take pictures of each graduate during the SON ceremony. Photos will be available to students and their families for purchase. |
