Nursing Student Loan
The Nursing Student Loan (NSL) program is available if you are a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident who is enrolled at least half-time as an undergraduate or a graduate student in a nursing degree program. The interest rate is 5 percent. Interest does not accrue during periods of deferment.
Promissory note required
If you accept a NSL, you will be required to complete a paper promissory note for each and every loan.
