3. Recent Grant Applications

The number of grants submitted by School of Nursing faculty members has nearly doubled since fiscal year 2003. In the past 6 months, from March 2005 – October 2005, School of Nursing faculty members submitted 14 grant applications to federal agencies, foundations, and professional organizations such as the NINR, NCI , NIMH and NLM (all Institutes of the NIH); HRSA, the Doris Duke Foundation, the New York State AIDS Institute, the Josiah H. Macy, Jr. Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. In addition, School of Nursing doctoral student Maryelena Vargas submitted an NRSA application to the NINR.
