Columbia University School of Nursing surveyed graduates from 2002-2004 as a means of assessing how alumni were progressing in their careers. 30% practice in hospitals, 24% in both community health centers and physician offices, 3% in HMO's, 13% in ambulatory care, 7% have faculty appointments, and 13% in various other sites.

64% of these graduates work in New York State, 10% in New Jersey,
