About Us

The Columbia University School of Nursing has a more than century-long history of achievement in education, a well-known focus on clinical excellence and leadership in advanced practice nursing and clinical care, and internationally known research faculty and nationally recognized specialty and subspecialty education programs.

History Since its founding in 1892, the Columbia University School of Nursing has been dedicated to the preparation of clinically excellent nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, and scholars.

Columbia University Columbia University, a member of the Ivy League, was founded in 1754 as King's College. It is the oldest institution of higher learning in New York State and the fifth oldest in the nation.
