Current Trainees

  3. 4. In coordination with his/her mentor, trainee obtains Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval prior to beginning research activities.  When applicable, human subjects Targeted Enrollment and Inclusion Enrollment tables are completed by trainees and kept on file.
  5. Throughout the appointment year, trainees are responsible for tracking their abstracts, presentations, posters, and publications and keeping copies on files.  This information is mandatory in the annual TIRAR progress report.
  6. At the end of the TIRAR appointment, the trainee completes the NRSA Termination Notice and submits it to Ruth Torres, Director of Finance, School of Nursing.  Please note that if a trainee graduates or leaves the program prior to the end of the appointment period, he/she will be required to return a prorated amount of the stipend received.
  7. Once the trainee's CIRAR mentor has been determined, the trainee obtains a letter of support from the mentor and submits to the CIRAR Project Coordinator.
  8. Once the trainee's CIRAR Field Experience site and preceptor have been determined, the trainee completes the Field Experience Agreement Form and submits it to the CIRAR Project Coordinator.  See role descriptions for details.
