The Center for Movement Disorders Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center offers state-of-the-art neurosurgical treatment for Parkinson's disease, tremor, dystonia and other movement disorders.
The Center for Movement Disorder Surgery consists of personnel and resources dedicated to the surgical treatment of patients suffering from intractable and disabling Parkinson's disease, tremor, dystonia, multiple sclerosis tremor and other movement disorders. The neurosurgeons are Dr. Robert Goodman and Dr. Guy McKhann, specialists in stereotactic neurosurgery. The surgical procedures are guided by the intra-operative, single cell recordings of electrophysiologist Dr. Seth Pullman to ensure operative precision and safety. The medical director is Dr. Blair Ford, movement disorder specialist. Our consultants include Dr. Stanley Fahn, Director of the Movement Disorders Division, and Dr. Lucien Cote, a renowned clinician in Parkinson's disease.
