Lionel Grossbard, M.D. is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and an Attending Physician at the New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Grossbard cares for patients with anemias, myelodysplasia, myeloma, breast cancer, and colon cancer. Dr. Grossbard received his undergraduate A.B. from Columbia College in 1957 where he graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. He received his internal medicine training at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons where he graduated in 1961 with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. In 2006-2007 he was the recipient of the Thelma Ewig Award for excellence in teaching from the Department of Medicine, Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, an award given to one senior faculty member each year.
