Institute students can gain experience in a number of community-based nutrition services programs. Through affiliations with the Arteriosclerosis Research Center, the IHN offers students opportunities to participate in nutrition education and therapeutic diet counseling for cardiovascular patients being treated at the Center. The Institute also provides consulting services to community agencies, local heart associations, insurance companies, and restaurants. Students often play key roles in these activities. |
