As an extension of his consultation in a continuing medical education program in Tatarstan, Russia, he initiated an identification and management program in hypertension in a polyclinic. This study, the first of its kind, was published recently. In the past 2 years Dr. Greenberg and his colleagues Steven Leeder and Susan Raymond have collaborated on multiple publications focused on the impact of chronic disease on emerging economies. Their initial work was A Race against Time, a monograph published by the Earth Institute at Columbia University. They continue their collaboration under the auspices of IC Health in New Delhi.
