    Services: Community League of West 159th Street is a not for profit community based organization that provides a shelter for the homeless, housing services, senior citizen services, social services, and pregnancy prevention counseling.

    Services: Through resident and community driven strategies, Community Pride is dedicated to promoting neighborhood revitalization projects by engaging in comprehensive community building activities. The Building by Building Program organizes tenant associations, mainly in city owned buildings, block associations, neighborhood coalition and networks, faith based institutions, and supports neighborhood social activities. In improving the physical environment, Community Pride organizes block and neighborhood clean-ups, identifies and organizes volunteer paint days, improves and develops elementary schools and private playgrounds, and assists in public park development. In addition, by stabilizing city owned buildings and providing personal human service assistance, the agency creates home opportunities for tenants, advocates for improved living conditions in buildings, provides tenant support for the various city disposition programs, housing assistance, government agency advocacy, referral services, and homelessness prevention.

    Services: The Washington Heights Inwood Coalition offers services to Manhattan residents who live above 155th Street. The agency provides housing and community service programs where people can learn about tenant rights, receive assistance with housing benefits, organize tenant associations, and teach tenants how to improve their buildings. In addition, the WHIC offers conflict resolution programs where disputes among community residents are resolved.
