    Services: The mission of the American Red Cross in Greater New York is to help people avoid, prepare for, and cope with emergencies; to enhance self-reliance and concern for others; and to improve the quality of human life. It does this through services that are led by volunteers and guided by its congressional charter and the principles of the International Red Cross Movement.

    Services:Centro Social La Esperanza has been serving adults with developmental disabilities in Washington Heights and surrounding areas since 1973. Esperanza provides participants and their families with comprehensive programs. Participants are encouraged to become independent and productive members of the community and to enjoy a variety of life experiences through community inclusion and individualized service plans.

    Services:Harlem Teams for Self Help has a wide variety of programs that intend to improve the community in general. Programs include meals for senior citizens, nutritional services, neighborhood revitalization services, and counseling for first time home buyers.
