    Community Board 9 handles the different issues that affect the community such as safety, economic development, housing, and youth education. In order to achieve its goal of bettering neighborhoods, the Board pays careful attention to complaints from residents.

    The goal of Community Board 10 is to better the community it serves through services in the following areas: health, housing, economic development, transportation, and youth education.

    Community Board 12 plays an important role in improving the quality of life for its community residents. The Board meets once each month to address items of concern to the community. Board meetings are open to the public, and a portion of each meeting is reserved for the Board to hear from members of the public. In addition, the board regularly conducts public hearings on the city's budget.
