My research, in collaboration with several faculty at Columbia, investigates the pathogenesis and treatment of visually-threatening retinal disorders, specifically diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR). This work encompasses laboratory bench research, translational efforts, identification of genotype-phenotype correlations in retinal disease, and analysis of outcomes of current and investigational treatments.
