Publications
Publications produced by External Relations support the departments mission to raise awareness of the education, research, and outreach accomplishments and expertise of the Columbia Health Sciences Division among internal and external audiences. Various publications are distributed to faculty, staff, students, governing board members, advisory board members, representatives of the news media, elected officials and other opinion leaders, alumni, and others with a vested interest in Columbia Health Sciences.
External Relations publishes In Vivo, a biweekly newsletter for faculty and staff with news and features focusing on the research enterprise and other achievements at the Health Science; P&S Journal , a glossy magazine produced three times a year for College of Physicians & Surgeons alumni, Health Sciences faculty and staff, and external supporters of the medical school; the Weekly Calendar of Events an online listing of events at the Health Sciences Division; and P&S Bulletin, the catalog of the Faculty of Medicine, produced every other year.
Discontinued publications available in archived editions are Biomedical Frontiers, which reported on advances in science and technology at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center to the biotechnology industry; Health Sciences Reporter, which reported general news about and for faculty and staff of the Health Sciences Division; and 21stC, a Columbia University research publication.
The communications division of External Relations now produces the annual reports . Annual reports produced by the publications division in previous years are available in archived editions.
