Mission Statement

Our Mission: To   facilitate outstanding clinical care, education and scientific investigations into gender- specific biology crossing all disciplines that impact on women’s health.

The Center for Women’s Health at Columbia is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary program focusing on the unique healthcare issues of women of all ages.  The Center is a supportive clinical practice for women; it is also a leading sponsor of scientific investigations across the many disciplines that impact on women’s health, a center for the education and training of the next generation of specialists in women’s health, and a key resource for vital information on health and medical issues of particular interest to women. The Center has been recognized as a unique program focusing on heart-health care and is the recipient of major federal and philanthropic funding to improve education, awareness and treatment of women and heart disease.
