Strengthening Exercises: Upper Extremity Exercises
In Bed | Anterior Arm Lift
"Biceps Curl"
 |
- Start with arm down at side, palm up
- Lift weight up by bending elbow
- Upper arm should be motionless
- Slowly lower arm to starting position
- Repeat 10 times each side

"Triceps Curls"
 |
- Hold weight in hand
- Lie on back with elbow bent and pointing directly upward
- Support the arm with the other hand as shown
- Straighten the elbow
- Repeat 10 times each side

"Bench Press"
 |
- Lie on back with weight in hand
- Place arm out to side with elbow bent as shown
- Straighten elbow lifting weight towards ceiling
- Repeat 10 times, may do both arms at once
