Billing Compliance Education Program The Billing Compliance Steering Committee approved the implementation of a one-hour billing compliance education requirement, per academic year for all Clinical Faculty and their associated billing staff effective July 2001. The educational requirement may be met via departmental meetings, utilization of the web-based education program, or attendance of an external or departmental course. The Office for Billing Compliance (OFBC) will review agendas. Following the approval of a departmental or external course agenda, the departmental administration must send copies of the attendance lists to the OFBC, including the attendees names, the date, and copies any handouts related to the topic of compliance. The educational date will be entered into the Physician Compliance Database, and updated quarterly.
