The Columbia Neurosciences Society (CNS) was founded by medical students in 1991. We are a part of the P&S Club, with Dr. Eric Kandel serving as our faculty sponsor and Dr. Ronald Rieder as a faculty advisor. We sponsor a series of seminars emphasizing the neurosciences in clinical neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry, as well as in basic research. These seminars serve as an informal forum for students, residents, post-docs, and faculty to interact and keep up with current topics of interest in neuroscience-related fields. The club hosts speakers and highlights the work of P&S faculty and others in many areas pertaining to the neurosciences. Our latest projects, including this homepage, aim to help students find information about research and other opportunities in the neurosciences more easily. We are open to suggestions for meetings, seminars (see the "submit suggestions" section), or any other projects. Please contact us for information (cmw3@columbia.edu or msw14@columbia.edu) if you are interested in participating.
