In collaboration with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation our fellowship programs are internationally recognized for it's excellence in physician training. Under the auspices of New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center, the clinical training program has received the highest commendations from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Clinical Fellowships
Conducted in conjunction with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, the clinical fellowship provides an invaluable opportunity to work closely with leading interventional cardiologists. The CIVT faculty is working with the latest developments in heart and vascular imaging, angioplasty and stenting techniques (including ongoing work with drug-eluting and carotid-artery stents), pharmacology, angiogenesis and myogenesis, vascular brachytherapy, and a host of other advances at the forefront of cardiovascular patient care. The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship program is ACGME-accredited.

Research Fellowships
CIVT and CRF's extensive research fellowship program attracts scholars from around the world. Areas of study include quantitative angiography, intravascular ultrasound, MRI, pharmacology, gene therapy, statistical analysis, clinical trials and more. CRF also offers more general study in cardiovascular disease, as well as a vascular medicine program and a carotid artery intervention program.
CIVT and CRF's Cardiovascular Research Fellowship provides the fellow with comprehensive training in cardiovascular research and education sufficient to enable the fellow to pursue a successful career in the same field, as an independent investigator. Annual Fellows Meeting
CRF also conducts a number of annual fellows' conferences such as: (i) the annual national Interventional Cardiology Fellow's Course, in which all 3rd- and 4th-year trainees in interventional cardiology and vascular medicine from any US program are invited to attend a comprehensive 3-4 day review of this specialty presented by many of the world's pioneers and thought leaders; (ii) the annual Self-Assessment and Board Review Course, which is a 2-day course offered in conjunction with the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) conference. This course offers a comprehensive review of the established knowledge in interventional cardiology. Its interactive format, including extensive question and answer sessions, provides special preparation for the Board examination. These courses are ACCME accredited.
