The Video Division is fully staffed with producers, directors, writers, camera operators, lighting technicians, sound recordists, and editors to produce broadcast-quality programs. Our work has appeared on network, public, and cable television and has bee
n distributed internationally. Columbia's award-winning productions include location videotapes on public health crises in Central Africa, Huntington's Disease in Venezuela, hope for children with cancer, advances in invasive cardiology techniques, and j
ournalism's social responsibilities. Both medical and non-medical projects are produced in our studio or on location for educational, documentary, promotional, and marketing audiences.
Pre-production
Video Division writers and producers can assist clients in conceptualizing a video project, choosing screen approaches, and developing treatments and story-boards to visualize a video production. Both experienced clients and persons new to video producti
on can develop video projects with a staff experienced in moving from ideas to finished tapes. Script preparation is accomplished in partnership with clients.

The video studio is equipped with broadcast-quality cameras and support gear including teleprompters, wireless intercoms, booms, and full lighting and grip packages allowing production on all formats. This studio is 40 feet by 30 feet and is vibration an

Editing
Editing rooms are equipped for multi-format and digital video effects. On-line and off-line editing is possible in all formats. Full graphics generation and display software are available in character-generator and paintbox animation. The editing rooms
are available 24 hours a day for both in-house productions and outside production. We also provide standards conversion for any worldwide standard and videotape duplication for any number of copies.
Satellite conferencing
Full uplink and downlink video conferencing capability is available to meet your needs. Equipped with two satellite dishes, we can receive multiple programs and distribute them to any
location throughout the medical center, allowing us to participate in conferences and view programs broadcast locally, nationally and internationally.
All operating rooms, classrooms, and conference rooms throughout the
medical center are wired to send and receive programming from one site
to another.
Audio production
Our 100 square foot audio studio has digital audio equipment and sound effects capabilities to synthesize virtually any sound required. Clients can record professional voice-over narration, add effects to video sound, or create synthetic audio sound tra
cks. Also, we can edit and duplicate audiotapes in any format.
