Welcome to the

Center for Biomedical Communications

home page.
The Center for Biomedical Communications/Audio-Visual Service (CBC/AV) at the college of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University was established in 1965 as one of the most extensive multimedia communications groups in a medical school. Today, in our new facility located on the 20th floor of Presbyterian Hospital (PH 20), each division- art, photography, and video is equipped with the latest technology to address the needs of our clients.

Staffed with award-winning professional photographers, illustrators, graphic designers, video production staff, and writers, CBC/AV offers production services for broadcast-quality videos and publication-quality graphics, photographs, illustrations and text. The Center serves both medical and non-medical clients with the commitment, attentiveness to detail and accuracy learned from our work in medicine.

Integrating the talents of our whole staff, CBC/AV can provide clients with a full range of services in one location. Our multimedia format gives us the flexibility to communicate our clients' messages in any combination of video, graphics, photography, and art, and to work within all budget ranges.
