Richards-Cournand Alumni Society

the Richards-Cournand Society

Inaugurated in 2006, the Richards-Cournand Society is the alumni society of the Columbia Cardiology Fellowship.  The society was created in order to set a gold standard for fellows to aspire to during their training, as well as foster a camaraderie and sense of shared experience that persists beyond the fellowship years.  There is tremendous support and enthusiasm for this society from the division leadership.  Our hope is to enrich and expand the alumni experience and foster a more active engagement in the current program. Future plans include a cataloguing of all alumni, reunions at the AHA and ACC conferences, an alumni presence at the Katz and Southworth lectures, and a formal induction ceremony.  The alumni society will surely expand its scope within the coming years.
