Students must submit MCAT scores obtained within the preceding four years, along with their AAMC ID number. Applicants who are not US citizens but who have graduate degrees, and applicants who are residents of countries where the MCAT is not offered, may submit equivalent alternatives as approved by the school.
Students who have completed a master’s degree in public health (MPH) are encouraged to apply.
Applications are also accepted from students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in a non-science major if they have completed the necessary prerequisites for the study of medicine. (see above)
Students who lack the required premedical courses may consider applying to Columbia University’s Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program.
Individuals with degrees from universities where the language of instruction is not English must submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), taken within one year of the application date.
