Ruth Ottman, PhD is Professor of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health and Deputy Director for Research with the G. H. Sergievsky Center at Columbia University. She is also a Research Scientist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Ottman's primary area of expertise is genetic epidemiology. Her current research focuses on the role of inherited factors in susceptibility to neurologic disorders, especially seizure disorders, migraine, essential tremor, Parkinson's disease, and Alzheimer's disease.
