Marlyn Delva is the Associate Dean of the Mailman School of Public Health’s Office of Student Affairs at Columbia University and the Dean of Students. Marlyn received her BA from Barnard College and her MA in Student Personnel Administration from Teachers College.She is currently a Doctoral Student in the Health Education program at Teacher’s College. Marlyn oversees an office of 15 professionals who manage the day to day operations of student services and develop programs to enhance a student's experience at the school. Marlyn is an effective member of the school’s dean’s senior administration, as well as a member of a number ofUniversity committees focusing on student affairs, and is a strong advocate for students and School interests. Marlyn is a NYC Certified Teacher in Foreign Languages for Secondary Education, and holds membership in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, CUMC Bioethics Steering Committee, CUMC Students At Risk Committee and CUMC Core Cancer Research Center.
