Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), doctors The comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and management of ALS is an essential part of our ALS Multidisciplinary Clinic. Research has demonstrated that patients involved at a multidisciplinary clinic tend to have a higher quality of life and live longer. This clinic is made up of experienced health care professionals who are ready to assist you.

The success of this team approach begins with you, the patient. When you come to our ALS Multidisciplinary Clinic, you will have the opportunity to meet with the multidisciplinary team during a two-hour session. To contribute to the success of the clinic, telephone calls might be made prior to your clinic visit to determine what your most important concerns may be. When you come to clinic, these concerns will be addressed. Clinicians will then conduct in-clinic evaluations and provide recommendations to you. All team members are essential in developing a plan of care that will meet your medical, social and personal needs. That way, your needs can be met in one place. There is a contact sheet available for all team members, in case you need to reach one of them.

Our clinicians can follow up on concerns that you may have had during your clinic appointment. We are always available to answer any questions, direct you to any resources, and/or just listen.
