Since its inception, education and training has been considered one of the most important missions of our ADRC. The ADRC fosters education and training of students, post-doctoral fellows, residents, investigators and physicians in many ways.
- First, many members are lab leaders that receive high school students, graduate and medical students and post-doctoral fellows into their labs from many departments.
- Second, members of the ADRC are lecturers on AD and related disorders in formal courses offered to undergraduate students, graduate students, medical students, residents, and CME courses to physicians.
- Finally, the ADRC has funded a monthly lecture series of leading speakers. These lectures are advertised campus-wide, and besides educating established investigators, they act to inspire students and new investigators.
